Ciao! We are THRILLED to share Puglia with you, a place that’s especially close to our hearts. The culture here is rich and distinctly southern. It’s one of Italy’s lesser-traveled regions for Americans, which makes it even more special! On our Girls’ Trip, you’ll taste authentic Pugliese style pasta and wines, and admire architecture unlike anything you’ve ever seen. If you’ve been to Italy before, you’ve likely explored Italy’s well-known cities like Rome and Florence (which we love). But this Girls’ Trip will uncover Italy’s best-kept secret (from Americans), the region of PUGLIA! And if this is your first Italian adventure, get ready for something unforgettable.
On this Girls’ Trip, we know you will fall in LOVE with Puglia. From picturesque beach views and charming cities to delicious daily menus, this trip is all about soaking up the beauty and uniqueness of Puglia. And doing it all with the girlies! Day 1: Welcome to Puglia!
Arrive in Bari — YOU MADE IT TO ITALY!
We’ll meet for the first time in Bari, the capital of Puglia and one of the oldest port cities on the Adriatic Sea. After dropping off your luggage, we’ll take a guided stroll through Bari Vecchia, the charming old town rich with history and handmade orecchiette pasta.
Afternoon:
We’ll catch a scenic train ride to Monopoli, a coastal gem with ancient Greek roots and one of the oldest continuously inhabited towns in the world. This postcard-perfect town will be our home base for the next few days.
Evening:
To end the evening we’ll come together for a group dinner filled with delicious food and fun conversation to get to know each other better. Everyone will wear something BLUE on this night!
Day 2: Monopoli & Polignano a Mare
Morning:
We’ll begin our day with a slow morning. Sip an espresso, wander through Monopoli’s streets, dip your toes in the Adriatic, or you can just sleep in. You’ll have free time to soak in the vibe however you choose!
Afternoon:
We'll regroup for a boat tour near Polignano a Mare, known for its cliffs, sea caves, and waters so blue it doesn't look real. (We recommend you don’t Google it. Let the jaw-dropping beauty be a surprise!)
Evening:
To end the evening we’ll enjoy a Group dinner together. Get ready for fresh seafood, homemade pasta, and girl talk.
Day 3: Trulli, Wine & the White City
Morning:
We’ll hop on a private bus to Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its Trulli, conical stone houses. With a local guide, you’ll hear the stories and history that make this place so unique.
Afternoon:
We’ll visit a special family-run vineyard where the flavors of Pugliese wine come to life, paired with a tasty spread of the region’s best focaccia, taralli, meats, cheeses and more.
Evening:
Then it’s off to Ostuni, known as the "White City" sitting high on a hill overlooking the sea. You’ll have free time to explore, buy a magnet, or find the perfect aperitivo spot. Plus this is one of our most favorite cities in all the earth. We are PUMPED to show you Ostuni.
Day 4: Baroque Beauty & Puglian Flavors of Lecce
Morning:
We’ll check out of our hotel and take the train south to Lecce, often called the "Florence of the South," for our favorite Baroque architecture and limestone buildings. You will have free time to tour the city and grab lunch on your own.
Afternoon:
Roll up your sleeves… it’s time for a hands-on cooking class! Learn how to make traditional Puglian dishes and enjoy a meal together like true locals. But don’t get too comfortable, the night isn’t over! Let’s just say it ends with a rhythm you won’t be able to resist.
Day 5: Gallipoli Adventure
Morning:
Day trip to Gallipoli, another unique coastal town with ancient Greek origins and a historic center that feels like stepping back in time. We’ll visit the castle, stroll along the seafront, and enjoy a group lunch together.
Afternoon:
You’ll have free time to explore! Wander the cobbled streets, shop local artisan goods, and maybe even pick up one of Gallipoli’s most unique specialties: natural sea sponges, harvested straight from the Mediterranean.
Evening:
We’ll head back to Lecce by private bus. The evening is yours to enjoy. Take your time wandering the lively streets, sampling local snacks (again and again), or grabbing a nightcap with the group. And if you’re feeling lost, you're always welcome to tag along with your hosts or ask for their favorite recs!
Day 6: Sun, Sea & Pizza
Beach day!
Pack your sunnies and goggles because we’re headed to the coast! After all the touring, eating and laughing, our last full day together will be spent on the beach. You will be ORDERED to soak up the sun, relax on the sand, and grab a pizza by the water (or seafood)!
Evening:
Back in Lecce, we’ll freshen up and ease into our final night (feel free to borrow that top from your sis). One more golden hour, one more gelato, one more slow stroll through this unforgettable place with your new sisters. Time to learn, “this trip was the BEST and most unforgettable experience I've ever had” in Italian.
Day 7: Farewell (for now)!
Morning:
We’ll take the train back to Bari and share one last Pugliese style farewell lunch before parting ways. But don't think that you’ll get out of here without sharing your “high low and buffalo” of the trip!
